First day of foundations curriculum was today, and boy oh boy I had no clue what I got myself into! I mean I love genetics and Molecular Biology is my thing, but they definitely went through two weeks worth of material in a one hour lecture. Looking back: the fire hydrant of information metaphor was true. Studying significantly more than undergrad– ridiculously true, and yet I couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter!
This Friday I get to observe blood draws and I’m excited about that, however I’m not happy about the idea that I will have my blood drawn in a phlebotomy lab. Why? I’ve had experienced phlebotomist stick me five times just to draw my blood, and they’d done it for years! I’m sure I’ll get over it, and this will be a trust exercise between my “not-so-lucky” classmate and I. Wish me luck!
Bid thee adieu beauties and gents ❤
